About Lamplighter Kids Stories
What is Lamplighter Kids?
Lamplighter Kids is a calm, character-led storytelling world created by Rebecca Sanderson. Through the free Lamplighter Kids Stories podcast, storybook-style animation, books, Letters from Momo, and family extras, we create slow, beautiful stories that help children love what is good.
Who are Rebecca and Momo?
Rebecca Sanderson is the creator, writer, storyteller, character voice, and songwriter behind Lamplighter Kids. Momo McSquirrel is her earnest, curious, acorn-loving squirrel friend and co-host. Rebecca guides the story and reflection, while Momo brings friendship, humor, and the occasional squirrel-sized misunderstanding.
What do you mean by a virtue?
In Lamplighter stories, a virtue is something good, right, and true, such as courage, patience, honesty, generosity, forgiveness, friendship, or love. The virtue is not only explained at the end. It shapes a real choice inside the story, and Rebecca and Momo return afterward with simple Question Time prompts for families.
What ages are Lamplighter stories for?
Lamplighter is created primarily for younger children and family listening. Families often use the stories during quiet time, car rides, rest time, bedtime wind-downs, or moments when they want something imaginative without a rushed pace.
Every child is different. Some stories include gentle suspense, danger, conflict, or characters feeling afraid, so grown-ups may wish to preview an episode for a particularly sensitive listener.
How long are the stories, and do we need to listen in order?
Most full-length podcast stories are about 20 to 30 minutes. Most adventures can be enjoyed in any order. Stories labeled Part 1 and Part 2 are best heard in order.
Are the podcast and YouTube stories free?
Yes. The public Lamplighter Kids Stories podcast and public YouTube stories remain free for families. Lamplighter Kids Club is optional and adds early releases, a member library, more time with Momo, Letters, printables, family extras, and a way for grown-ups to help create what comes next.
Why are there no outside ads in the podcast stories?
Rebecca created the podcast so families could settle into the story without outside advertisements interrupting the experience. Brief Lamplighter updates about new stories, books, Kids Club, or the mission may appear in show notes or messages from Rebecca, but outside ad breaks are not part of the current format.
Where can my family listen or watch?
Use the Listen and Watch link in the main menu to find the current public listening and viewing options. The podcast is available through supported podcast services, animated stories are available on YouTube, and selected screen-free family audio options are listed on the website.
Third-party availability can change, so the Lamplighter website is the best place to begin.
What makes Lamplighter gentler or lower-stimulation?
Lamplighter uses warm narration, clear dialogue, an intentional pace, original songs, finite stories with a beginning and end, and storybook-style animation with room for stillness and imagination. The goal is not to remove every exciting moment. It is to tell meaningful adventures without making them frantic, noisy, or overwhelming.
What is the Lamplighter Kids Club?
What is the Lamplighter Kids Club?
Lamplighter Kids Club is an optional, adult-managed Patreon membership for families who want a deeper Lamplighter story ritual and a practical way to help Rebecca and Momo create more stories.
What does Kids Club include?
Kids Club includes:
- The Lamplighter Podcast Story Archive inside the Club
- Listening in Patreon or through a private feed in a supported podcast app
- New podcast stories and animations seven days before public release
- A member video and animation library
- Momo’s Messages, Letters from Momo, and digital bundles
- Activities, coloring pages, and family prompts
- A monthly Momo message or mini-story, digital Letter, and family extra
- A practical way to help Rebecca, Momo, and the team create more stories
The public podcast and public YouTube stories remain free.
How much does Kids Club cost?
The current Kids Club membership is $9 per month through Patreon. A grown-up manages the account, billing, private podcast feeds, and membership settings. The live Patreon checkout shows the current price before a membership begins.
How does seven-day early access work?
New podcast stories and animated episodes are posted for Kids Club members seven days before their public release. When the public release arrives, the member version stays in the Club so families can continue finding the stories in one place.
Do we need a separate podcast app?
No. Kids Club audio can be played directly in Patreon. Grown-ups who prefer a podcast app may also add the private member feed to a supported app. The feed is connected to the individual membership and should not be shared.
How do I cancel, and when does access end?
A grown-up can manage or cancel the recurring membership through the Patreon account used to join. Patreon will show the date on which access ends. Cancellation stops a future renewal, but it does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.
The public Lamplighter podcast and YouTube stories remain available whether or not a family is a Kids Club member.
I backed the Kickstarter. Should I buy a Kids Club membership?
Some Kickstarter rewards include a fixed period of Kids Club access. Check the reward description and any claim instructions before purchasing a separate membership.
If your reward includes access, that fixed period will not automatically become a paid recurring membership unless a grown-up chooses to continue. If you are unsure what your reward includes, contact us using the adult email address connected to Kickstarter.
Letters from Momo and Digital Downloads
What happened to the physical Letters from Momo subscription?
The recurring physical-mail program ended in 2024. Historical Letters from Momo are now available as digital bundles, and Kids Club includes the Letter library and new Letters described on the membership page.
What is included in a digital Letters from Momo bundle?
The bundles include illustrated Letters from Momo, stories from his forest life, examples of people or characters practicing a virtue, activity pages, and simple ideas families can try together. The exact contents and date range are listed on each product page.
How quickly will my digital purchase arrive?
Digital products are generally delivered to the email address used at checkout shortly after the order is completed.
If the email does not appear, check your Inbox, Promotions, Spam, Junk, Downloads, and Files folders. Also confirm that the email address entered at checkout is correct.
What should I do if a download does not arrive or will not open?
Some bundles are delivered as ZIP files. They are often easiest to download and open on a computer. On a phone or tablet, save the file to the device’s Files or Downloads application before opening it.
If the problem continues, contact lamplighterkids@gmail.com and include:
- Your order number
- The adult email address used at checkout
- The name of the product or file
- A short description or screenshot of the problem
We will help restore access or provide a working replacement file when appropriate.
Can I print or share a digital product?
A purchased digital product is for personal, noncommercial use within the purchasing household. You may download it, keep reasonable personal backup copies, and print reasonable copies for your own family.
Please do not resell, publicly upload, redistribute, or provide the files to another household, classroom, church, organization, or business. Educators, churches, schools, libraries, and other groups may contact us to ask about broader use.
Books, Shipping, Returns, and Order Help
Where do you ship physical products?
Physical products are shipped only to destinations offered during checkout. Jerome’s Journey is currently available for shipping within the United States only.
Digital products do not require physical shipping.
How long does Jerome’s Journey take to arrive?
When Jerome’s Journey is available for purchase, please allow up to three weeks from the order date for printing, fulfillment, and carrier transit.
If the book has not arrived after three weeks, contact lamplighterkids@gmail.com with the order number and the adult email address used at checkout.
What should I do if an item is missing, damaged, defective, or incorrect?
For a missing Jerome’s Journey order, contact us after three weeks from purchase.
For a damaged, defective, incomplete, misprinted, or incorrect physical item, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Include the order number, the adult email used at checkout, a description of the problem, and clear photographs of the item and packaging when relevant.
Please do not discard the item or mail a return until we provide instructions.
What is the return and refund policy?
Most eligible physical products may be returned within 30 days after delivery, subject to the conditions in the current Refund, Return, and Cancellation Policy. Unless the problem resulted from our error or a confirmed defect, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping.
Digital purchases are generally final after the files have been delivered or made accessible, because a digital file cannot be physically returned. We will still help with a missing delivery, broken link, corrupt or incomplete file, wrong file, duplicate charge, or another technical problem that prevents reasonable access.
Please read the full Refund Policy before sending a return. The current posted policy controls if there is any difference between this summary and the policy.
Can I cancel or change an order?
Contact lamplighterkids@gmail.com as soon as possible. We will make a reasonable effort to help, but a physical order may not be cancelable or editable after it has entered production, been sent to a fulfillment partner, received a shipping label, or shipped. A digital order generally cannot be canceled after the files or access have been delivered.
Contact, Privacy, Permissions, and Support
Who answers support questions?
Lamplighter Kids is operated by a small team. Send order, access, playback, download, membership, partnership, or media questions through the Contact page or to lamplighterkids@gmail.com so the request can be routed to the right person.
Response times can vary. Including the adult email address used for the order or membership, along with an order number when relevant, helps us investigate more quickly. Please never send a password, private podcast link, payment-card information, or account recovery code.
Can my child write to Rebecca or Momo?
We love hearing from families. A grown-up may send a family message through the Contact page or mail a note to:
Lamplighter Kids
PO Box 2264
Orange, CA 92859
Please use a grown-up’s contact information when contact information is needed. Do not include a child’s full legal name, school, birthday, personal email address, telephone number, precise location, account credentials, medical information, or a photograph or video unless a specific adult permission process has been provided.
Because the team is small, we cannot promise a personal response or the return of mailed items, but every kind note is appreciated.
May I use Lamplighter materials in a classroom, church, library, therapy practice, or organization?
Please contact us before copying, distributing, or using purchased digital materials beyond one household. Tell us what material you would like to use, the type and size of the group, and whether the use is free or paid. We can then help determine the appropriate permission.
Can we suggest a story idea?
Yes! Grown-ups are welcome to send a brief story idea, character suggestion, or theme through our Contact page. We love hearing what families would enjoy!
Please keep it to a few sentences rather than sending a complete story, script, artwork, recording, or detailed original character. Use your own adult contact information and leave out children’s identifying details.
Suggestions may inspire stories we create independently, but they don’t guarantee an episode, reply, credit, payment, or release date. Please read our Story Ideas and Suggestions terms before submitting.
What are the best ways to support Lamplighter Kids?
Listening, following, reviewing, and sharing the public stories with another family are meaningful ways to help and do not require a purchase.
Grown-ups may also join the email list, purchase a book or digital bundle, become a Kids Club member, or use the Support page. Support payments are voluntary and are not represented as tax-deductible charitable donations.
Is Lamplighter Kids associated with Lamplighter Ministries or Lamplighter Theatre?
No. Lamplighter Kids Stories is an independent children’s storytelling brand created by Rebecca Sanderson and operated by EverThread Studio LLC. It is not affiliated with Lamplighter Ministries or Lamplighter Theatre.
Still Need Help?
Grown-ups may use the Contact page or email lamplighterkids@gmail.com.
For order or membership help, include the adult email address used for the purchase or account and an order number when applicable. Please do not send a child’s sensitive personal information, passwords, private podcast links, payment details, or recovery codes.
